Braided Line to Tackle

Marinews.com refers to braided fishing line or Dacron fishing line as super-lines in that they are have great size strength ratio, limp and lack memory. They are however, highly visible to fish, and suffer from wear. They are not suitable as a leader and most fishermen will run a clear leader from the super-line to the hook. Attaching braided fishing line to anything that can rub or move is fraught with danger. Most Dacron fishing line connections need regular replacement. Always be generous with the amount of wraps you use when tying braided fishing knots.
The fishing line to tackle knots illustrated here are suitable for tying in both saltwater fishing and freshwater fishing situations.

Braided Snell	The Braided Snell is basically a dedicated super line knot being ideal for use with both gellspun and braid lines.
Cats Paw Variation	The Cat's Paw Variation is a sure way of connecting a ring, swivel or hook to a loop without too much obtrusion into the lines natural contours.
Collar and Capstan Knot	The Collar & Capstan is a very secure method of attaching finer lines directly to the tow eye of a lure.
Common Snell	The Snell is a useful knot for joining line to terminal tackle especially hooks, as you do not require the eyelet of a hook to tie the Snell knot.
Grinner Knot	The Grinner Knot is indeed a very good hitch knot making a very reliable line to terminal knot which is easy to master.
Lindeman Knot	The Lindeman knot is an excellent line to terminal knot and is best suited to light and medium diameter lines. It is easy to tie with some practice and retains a very good level of line strength too.
Nail Knot with Loop	The Nail Knot with Loop is a handy knot for attaching hooks to heavy lines or leaders and suitable for attaching super lines such as braid and gelspun lines.
Rebeck Knot	The Rebeck knot is a simple but very effective hook attachment knot, capable of being tied in most line classes.
Silly Snell	The Silly Snell, despite its name, is not so silly! It's an excellent knot for attaching line directly to a hooks shaft, however, unlike the Snood, the hook requires an eyelet.
Sliding Snood	The sliding snood is the best method for attaching a sliding hook above the main hook for the purpose of making a multiple hook rig.
Snood	The snood is a useful hook attachment in that it doesn't require the eye of a hook to attach it. It is also ideal for attaching multi hooks.
Triple Palomar Knot	The Triple Palomar Knot is a quick and easy knot to tie and retains approximately 85 percent of line strength. The Triple Palomar knot is best suited to fine lines.
World Fair Knot	One of the simplest, yet most effective methods of attaching line to an hook you are likely to encounter.
